Well, they can have a profound impact on the game in RP and RP can become real if people invade with parties.

It's not really cheating and it's less cheating than some things:
Calling early elections to keep other parties from getting visibility isn't cheating.
Ratifying a treaty to lock all laws in the nation and keep other parties from getting visibility isn't cheating.

I understand that it's not against game rules. I am saying that in my personal opinion it is coercive and dishonest, and, above all, totally out of line for a game.

I agree, but at the same time I think it adds to the game experience.

Yes and makes foreign affairs more of a threat and less of being asked if you will do something or nothing, instead do what they ask or they will invade.

It seems I have made the fatal mistake of humanhood: assume something about something without knowing too much about it.
