Re: Religion (a split-off)
Knesset Yeshua, for one, and the CZP, are too religious. In my personal, real-life opinion, religion should have no part in government; separation of church and state! Government should not regulate religion, and religion should not regulate the government. My belief in that carries over into the game.

In real life, I always ridicule religions for their strange habits and am annoyed by people who flaunt their religion. But in the game, I tend to push for a state religion. I've even travelled around Particracy spreading the Caliphate.

For some reason I am one of those people that my convictions carry over into games.

I also tend to do the same, I just find that religion makes things more entertaining in small doses. Clergy should try their hands at comedy, I think they'd find they already perform it.

I have never thought about that, but now that you bring it up, it is very true.

I wonder if Clergy ever wonder what they sound like to different people.

I don't think so, because then most would realize they are bombastic and slightly biased.

I think they would sweep it under the rug by saying that God has told them something and that God's not wrong. I'm going to start a new thread to this effect in Off-Topic.
Edit: Here it is.

Re: Religion (a split-off)
Well in essence that is how a lot of "bad stuff" happened: Clergymen said, "Hey, we need to kill boatloads of Jews and Muslims, or Christians and Muslims, or Jews and Christians, because God told me so. Okay?" And everyone said, "If you say so, Mr. Priest/Rabbi/Whatever Muslims Call their Religious Leaders."

Re: Religion (a split-off)
And I guess that's the fundamental problem of not only religion, but of human beings in general.
